Pak should hand over Dawood to India: SM Krishna

New Delhi: External Affairs Minister SM Krishna on Tuesday asked Pakistan to 'act quickly' and hand over Dawood Ibrahim, the gangster-turned-terrorist who is wanted in India for various crimes, including his role in the 1993 Mumbai blasts.

"I think we expect Pakistan to get at Dawood Ibrahim who has been wanted in our country for various crimes that he has committed," Krishna told reporters in New Delhi when asked about his reaction to the lavish wedding reception Dawood hosted for his son in Karachi recently.

"We would like to try him here and I hope that Pakistan will certainly go after him and now that he has come out in public in Pakistan, I think it is necessary that Pakistan should act quickly and hand him over to India," Krishna said.

Dawood 's name figures in the list of over 20 most wanted Indians whom New Delhi wants extradited due to their links with criminal and terrorist activities in the country.
